Eav Bikes and EVRi: Partnering for a Greener Future
At Eav Bikes, we are proud to support businesses that share our commitment to sustainability. That’s why we are thrilled to collaborate with EVRi, one of the UK’s leading parcel delivery services, as they take bold steps towards reducing carbon emissions and embracing environmentally friendly logistics solutions.
A Shared Vision for Sustainable Transport
EVRi has launched a £19 million sustainability initiative aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and achieving net-zero emissions by 2035. A crucial part of this strategy is the expansion of its electric cargo bike fleet, and Eav Bikes is delighted to play a key role in making this happen.
From Q2 in 2024 to 2025, EVRi plans to increase its current fleet from 33 to 99 e-cargo bikes and its electric vehicles from 168 to 270, with a long-term goal of deploying 3,000 electric cargo bikes within the next decade. This significant expansion is expected to triple the number of parcels delivered via electric means to approximately four million annually, reducing emissions and congestion in urban areas.
Chief Executive Martijn De Lange has stated that this move will position EVRi as the largest operator of e-cargo bikes in the sector, highlighting a 9% reduction in carbon emissions since the previous year. This commitment reinforces the company’s leadership in sustainable delivery solutions.
The Impact of Eav Cargo Bikes
Eav Bikes are designed with sustainability and efficiency at their core. Our innovative cargo bikes provide a smart alternative to fossil-fuel-powered vehicles, helping companies like EVRi meet their sustainability targets while improving delivery efficiency. Each bike has the capacity to transport up to 2,000 litres of parcels, significantly cutting emissions while optimising last-mile deliveries.
By integrating Eav Bikes into their operations, EVRi is making a tangible difference in lowering emissions while providing an agile and effective solution for urban logistics. Director of Procurement and Sustainability, Pauline Potter, has emphasised the company's commitment to environmental responsibility and empowering employees to contribute to sustainable practices.
A Step Towards a Cleaner Future
As EVRi continues to expand its use of electric cargo bikes, we look forward to supporting their journey towards a cleaner, more sustainable delivery network. This partnership is a testament to how businesses can come together to drive positive environmental change, ensuring a greener future for urban logistics.
This announcement comes following EVRi’s recent acquisition by Apollo Global Management in a £2.7 billion deal, further demonstrating their commitment to growth and sustainability.
We are excited to be part of this movement and look forward to seeing more businesses follow in EVRi’s footsteps.
At Eav Bikes, we don’t just build cargo bikes—we help build a better future.
